‘The Midnight Rider’ Gregg Allman Tribute Concert Coming To Beacon Theatre

24

What would have been Gregg Allman’s 75th birthday, December 8th, will be celebrated with a tribute to the late The Allman Brothers Band co-founder at New York City’s Beacon Theatre. Old Dominion, Brothers Osborne, NEEDTOBREATHE and Charles Kelley will be among those performing at “The Midnight Rider: Gregg Allman’s 75th Birthday Jam.”

The all-star concert at The Beacon on December 8 is being produced by Lindsay Lehman and Wally Wilson in partnership with Allman’s longtime friend and manager Michael Lehman. Kenny Greenberg will serve as musical director with Shakey Graves, Shaun Munday, Lucie Silvas and Jackson Dean rounding out the initial list of confirmed participants. Look for additional “superstar special guests” to be announced soon.

Gregg Allman died in 2017 at age 69. He co-founded The Allman Brothers Band with Duane Allman, Dickey Betts, Jaimoe, Berry Oakley and Butch Trucks in 1969. The group helped define southern rock over the course of a 45-year run that garnered their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. NYC’s Beacon Theatre regularly hosted ABB March Madness residencies over the final two decades of The Allman Brothers Band’s historic career.

Pre-sale tickets for the tribute concert go on sale tomorrow (Wednesday, October 12) using the code SOCIAL at 12 p.m. ET. Tickets then go on sale to the general public this Friday, October 14 at 12 p.m. ET. Buy “The Midnight Rider: Gregg Allman’s 75th Birthday Jam” tickets via Ticketmaster.com.
