Billy Strings Details Two-Night 2023 Red Rocks Run

Billy Strings on Tuesday revealed the details for his 2023 return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO.

The two-night stand, taking place on May 11th and 12th, will kick off a run of May tour dates also stopping in Phoenix, AZ (5/17), Los Angeles, CA (5/19), San Diego, CA (5/20, 5/21), and Las Vegas, NV (5/24). The venues for the other May 2023 Billy Strings tour dates have not yet been announced.

Tickets will be available via Fair AXS. Registration for a chance to purchase tickets is open now through this Sunday, November 27th at 11:59 p.m. ET/9:59 p.m. MT. Following registration, randomly selected fans will be notified if they’ve been chosen to join the on-sale starting Thursday, December 1st at 12:00 p.m. ET/10:00 a.m. MT. The ever-rising bluegrass picker and his eponymous band have a lengthy list of tour dates on the books for 2023. Billed as “part one” of his 2023 campaign, the itinerary will keep Billy Strings and company on the road all over the U.S. from early February through late June. As of now, aside from the Red Rocks Amphitheatre run, Strings has only provided venues and details for the shows in February and March, many of which have already sold out.

The Red Rocks news comes in the midst of a particularly busy week for Billy Strings. In addition to last Friday’s release of collaborative LP Me/And/Dad alongside his dad, Terry Barber, Billy closed his extensive U.S. fall tour this past Friday and Saturday with a two-night run at Washington, D.C.’s The Anthem.

When he’s not playing his own gigs, he’s been hopping in with other bands. On Thursday night, he linked up with Trey Anastasio Band and Goose in Fairfax, VA for a lengthy guest appearance during which he performed both his own tunes and Trey Anastasio‘s material. On Saturday, after his own show in D.C., he popped over to Dopapod‘s late-night show at Union Stage to sit in on an “Eight Years Ended” encore.
