Amazon founder Jeff Bezos announced he is donating $100 million to Dolly Parton for her numerous charitable causes. The billionaire made the announcement during an exclusive interview with CNN Business.
“Look at what she’s done and how she’s led her life,” Bezos told CNN’s Chloe Melas about why he chose to award $100 million to Parton’s charitable causes. “And the way she’s done it, is with bold things, always with civility and kindness. She’s a unifier.”
“When you think of Dolly, everyone smiles,” Bezos’ partner Lauren Sanchez added. “All she wants to do is bring light into other people’s world, that’s all. So we couldn’t have thought of someone better than to give this award to Dolly.”
