Longtime Gregg Allman Band keyboardist Peter Levin is the latest addition to the lineup for an upcoming concert honoring the late Gregg Allman. “The Midnight Rider: Gregg Allman’s 75th Birthday Jam” will take place at The Beacon Theatre in New York City on Thursday, December 8.
Old Dominion, Brothers Osborne, NEEDTOBREATHE and Charles Kelley top the lineup for the all-star tribute held on what would have been Gregg’s 75th birthday. Shakey Graves, Shaun Munday, Lucie Silvas and Jackson Dean are also aboard with Kenny Greenberg serving as the event’s musical director.
The Beacon Theatre holds a special place in Gregg Allman history as the venue hosted over 200 Allman Brothers Band shows including the band’s final concert in 2014. Peter Levin, who currently is a member of ABB tribute act Trouble No More, was a key member of the last iteration of Gregg Allman’s solo band.
