Shira Elias released a new single, “Earth Sun.” The new track from the former Turkuaz vocalist features Toto/Ghost-Note keyboardist Dominique Xavier Taplin and further previews her upcoming Services The EP, due out on December 2.
Elias heralded Services The EP in October with the lead single “HOOK’D” The latest preview is “Earth Sun,” which Shira explained: “talks about all of the things you wish you could say but can’t…when someone you love is trying to force their beliefs and narratives on you and you want to have a relationship, but you just can’t sacrifice your truth. So this song is about that reckoning. All of this is evoking the rollercoaster of emotions that happen when two people can’t get on the same page.”
The new Services single features Shira’s soulful vocals along with jazz-tinged piano from Dominique Xavier Taplin. Listen to “Earth Sun” below:
