Surprise! Goose Releases New Studio EP ‘Undecided’

Goose surprised fans by releasing a new EP entitled Undecided via No Coincidence Records. The four songs were recorded during the sessions at The ISOKON in Woodstock, New York that yielded the band’s recently released studio album, Dripfield.

Produced and engineered by D. James Goodwin, Undecided consists of three songs written as a teen by guitarist Rick Mitarotonda, “All I Need,” “Tumble,” and the title track (which is also known by fans from its working title, “Bob Don.”) The fourth song, “Elizabeth,” was composed by guitarist/keyboardist Peter Anspach.

“I wrote the lyrics as a reminder to myself to consider who and what else is out there,” says Anspach. “Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up thinking whomever you lost was the only one for you, but you never know who else is waiting for you to come along.”

According to Mitaronda:

“These four songs have been around for a long time. We’ve performed different versions over the years and we wanted to capture them in a new and exciting way. I wrote [‘Bob Don’] when I was 14, and, actually, it was originally titled ‘Undecided.’ We started calling it ‘Bob Don’ because we thought it was funny.”

“All I Need” made its live debut on January 18, 2017. The more rarely played “Undecided”/”Bob Don” was first played by Goose on January 24, 2020. “Tumble,” which originated with the Goose precursor Vasudo was first played by Goose on January 21, 2019. “Elizabeth” was premiered by Goose on March 15, 2018.

A limited-edition vinyl release of Undecided will be sold beginning on January 13. Stream the EP below:
