New Year’s in New Orleans will cap off another record-setting year for Billy Strings. In 2022, the guitarist made the jump to some of the biggest venues of his still-nascent career, including headlining dates at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY and a two-night run at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado.
In addition to a run of summer dates playing with Willie Nelson‘s Outlaw Festival, Strings and his newly-expanded lineup of Billy Failing (banjo), Jarrod Walker (mandolin), Royal Masat (bass), and Alex Hargreaves (fiddle)—who joined earlier this year—staged a sold-out, three-night Away From The Shire Halloween run in Asheville before jetting off to Europe for a run of intimate concerts abroad.
With 2022 coming to an end, Strings already has his eyes on the new year with a lengthy North American tour with shows planned into June 2023.
