Cher dropped a major bombshell during a recent interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show when she revealed she smelled marijuana on a tour bus belonging to Willie Nelson.
The appearance came as the mononym pop star was promoting her new line of decades-themed perfume, with Kelly Clarkson expressing shock that the ’70s didn’t smell like marijuana. “I was like, oh, this one will obviously smell like Willie Nelson’s bus,” Clarkson said.
Cher then sprang to life with flashbacks of half-remembered nights, exclaiming, “Oh my God, I’ve been on Willie Nelson’s bus, it smells exactly like marijuana.” She painted quite a picture, describing “a terrible old bus” with “drugs everywhere.”
The original American Idol winner then chimed in with her own half-baked recollections, joking that she left the vehicle with a contact high.
“It was laid out on the table, it was so amazing,” she said. “It was like as if you’d go into a store, like some old-school Airstream in L.A. and that’s the store in L.A. where they’re selling. It was everything you kind of wanted it to be when you walked in, but then when you walked out you were definitely hungry.”

Though Willie Nelson is on the road again, he likely didn’t bring his bus down to Hawaii for a pre-holiday show last week in Kahului. Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready, however, did make the trek to the Maui Arts & Cultural Center for the concert, lending his hand to a rendition of “Just Breathe”. Willie shared vocal duties to the track off PJ’s 2009 album Backspacer with his son Lukas, who joined The Red Headed Stranger alongside his other son Micah.
