Renowned drummer Makaya McCraven recently delivered a Live On KEXP session. The Chicago-based musician and bandleader offered songs from his 2022 album, In These Times, back in October for the Seattle independent radio station.
In These Times arrived on September 23. Makaya and his band — guitarist Jeff Parker, bassist Junius Paul and woodwind specialist De’Sean Jones — kicked off the KEXP session with In These Times’ “Dream Another” followed by the title track. Next, the quartet offered “The Knew Untitled” before closing the session with “This Place That Place.”
