Mt. Joy To Experiment With Different Sets & Vibes On Spring Tour 2023

21

Mt. Joy announced 2023 tour dates set for spring. The Philadelphia-born, Los Angeles-based band also detailed a new two-set format for their shows including “different sets and vibes” and “pushing our production as far as budgets allow.”

Read an excerpt full note from the band below:

We want to push ourselves in 2023. Didn’t come this far just to come this far. We feel like the show could be even better if we had more space to experiment with different sets and vibes even within one night. We’re going to try some shows without openers this year, and those shows will include 2 sets. There will be a 15-20 min drink/bathroom break in between two ~hour long sets. But set length will vary slightly depending on the vibe. We really wanna focus more on decorating the time we have together each night and seeing where that takes us.

Don’t worry we’re gonna play the songs, this will just allow us to play more of em. And of course we’ll be pushing our production as far as budgets allow to make the show as immersive an experience as possible. It’s such a dream to be able to build the show we want you guys to see. We’re so excited for next year. Cya there!

Mt. Joy launches their 2023 spring tour with a two-night run in Charleston, South Carolina on April 7 and 8. The band heads to Greenville, South Carolina on April 10. Engagements in Birmingham, Alabama and Savannah, Georgia follow on April 11 and 13 respectively.

Mt. Joy comes to Raleigh, North Carolina on April 14 ahead of a show in Charlotte on April 15. April 18 sees Mt. Joy in Athens, Georgia. On 420 the rockers come to Asheville, North Carolina ahead of a stop in Charlottesville, Virginia on April 22.
