George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic brought some funky cheer to the final week of the year on Thursday night with a dance party at New York, NY’s Sony Hall with special guests Blue Eye Extinction. Dr. Funkenstein and his colorfully chaotic ensemble packed the high-energy show with favorites from throughout his beloved catalog, and even welcomed a few particularly enthusiastic audience members to the stage to do that stuff with them—including famously raucous producer Marc Rebillet.

Below, check out a gallery of images from the show via photographer Ken Spielman and watch a clip of Clinton walking on stage during the performance. George Clinton & P-Funk will wrap up 2022 with gigs at Boston, MA’s House of Blues (12/30) and Washington, D.C.’s 9:30 Club (12/31). While Clinton has allegedly been on his “farewell tour” for years, the funk legend already has several dates on the books for early 2023. We’re not mad about it.
