Singer-songwriter Sunny War shared a cover of Ween’s “Baby Bitch.” The track is set to land on the guitarist’s upcoming album, Anarchist Gospel, due out on February 3 via New West Records.

Ween’s “Baby Bitch” and Van Hunt’s “Hopeless” are the only songs not penned by Sunny War on the 14-track Anarchist Gospel. The record also features a number of guests including My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James, Allison Russell, The Raconteurs’ Jack Lawrence, Micah Nelson, The School Zone Children’s Choir (who appear on the Ween cover) and more.

War previously shared the Anarchist Gospel single “No Reason” and “Higher,” the latter featuring David Rawlings.

War now follows with “Baby Bitch,” which Stereogum premiered today. War detailed the Ween cover:

“‘Baby Bitch’ is one of my favorite Ween songs. It’s pretty and also petty as hell. I first heard Ween’s Chocolate and Cheese album when I was 8 or 9. My mom and stepdad were really into Ween at the time. Throughout the years I’ve found myself returning to ‘Baby Bitch’ every time I end up angry with someone I once loved. I used to play the cover while busking on the Venice Boardwalk and am happy to have finally recorded it. I think the children singing the choruses makes it just a little more petty.”
