Watch The War On Drugs & Craig Finn Cover Bob Seger At Drugcember To Remember Show

The War On Drugs staged the second of three A Drugcember To Remember holiday shows at Johnny Brenda’s in Philadelphia on Tuesday night. The Hold Steady frontman Craig Finn was among the guests who joined the band, accompanying them on covers by Bob Seger, Warren Zevon, John Hiatt and more.

The Drugcember concerts, which began Monday and conclude tonight, benefit The Fund for the School District of Philadelphia. Tuesday’s concert also saw Matt Lowell of Lo Moon helping out The War On Drugs, including on a cover of The Waterboys’ “Strange Boat” and Seger’s “Against The Wind” along with Finn.

The War On Drugs frontman Adam Granduciel welcomed Finn at the start of last night’s second set. The guest spot began with Finn’s original “Blankets.” Next up was Warren Zevon’s “Play It All Night Long.” Finn was also on the crowded stage for a cover of John Hiatt’s “Walk On.” The show ended with Finn’s reemergence for the aforementioned “Against The Wind” cover.
