Music impresario and philanthropist Michael Dorf continues his Music Of series with the star-studded The Music Of Paul McCartney benefit concert at New York City’s Carnegie Hall on March 15. Graham Nash, Natalie Merchant and Bruce Hornsby are among the latest additions to the lineup for the tribute to Macca.

Sammy Rae (Sammy Rae & The Friends) and Jonathan Russell (The Head & The Heart) have also been added to the bill. The new additions join a lineup that already included Lake Street Dive, Allison Russell, Bettye LaVette, Peter Asher, Ingrid Michaelson, Glen Hansard, Lyle Lovett, The Cactus Blossoms and Shovels & Rope.

The Music Of Paul McCartney marks the 18th annual Music Of fundraiser. Proceeds from the evening and auxiliary events will support music education programs for underserved youth. Over $1.6 million has been raised to date by Dorf’s tributes for such organizations as Music Will (formally Little Kids Rock), Young Audiences NY, FIXS, Church Street School of Music, The Center for Arts Education, D’Addario Foundation, Sonic Arts for All, Save the Music, Midori & Friends, Grammy in the Schools, the Orchestra Now and the Newport Jazz Kids.

Look for each artist to perform songs from McCartney’s vast catalog, which includes his tenures in the Beatles and Wings as well as his illustrious solo career. “What an honor to work with one of the greatest singer/songwriters in history and have him interested in our annual show at Carnegie Hall,” Dorf stated in a press release. “We have missed doing this during the pandemic and looking forward to this special night.”

Past Music Of tributes have feted the likes of The Rolling Stones, David Byrne, Prince, Bob Dylan and many others.
