The Lone Bellow unveiled a stripped-down, piano-based rendition of their song “Honey.” The original track opens the trio’s 2022 album, Love Songs For Losers.

The band consisting of Zach Williams, Brian Elmquist and Kanene Donehey Pipkin assembled to record Love Songs For Losers at the former Nashville residence of Roy Orbison. The 11-song collection, The Lone Bellow’s fifth full-length LP, arrived last November. “Honey (Piano Version)” is out today as the three-piece prepares to kick off a winter tour tonight in Houston.

“There was a moment at Roy Orbison’s house when we were making Love Songs for Losers that stuck in my mind and reminded me why I love music,” explained guitarist Brian Elmquist. “Zach and our co-producer Jacob Sooter sat down at the grand piano in the tracking room and sang ‘Honey’ stripped-down and it was absolutely transcendent. A good song can translate to any language, on any instrument, in any configuration. I’m so glad we got to recreate that moment with this piano version of ‘Honey.’”
