Josh Klinghoffer To Fill In For Dave Navarro At Upcoming Jane’s Addiction Shows

37

Guitarist Dave Navarro will miss Jane’s Addiction‘s March tour dates in the U.S. and South America as well as a batch of “additional international shows to be announced soon” while he continues to recover from long COVID. Former Red Hot Chili Peppers axeman Josh Klinghoffer will step up to replace Navarro on a temporary basis.

“As a band we are in a great place, writing new music, and the band is tighter than ever,” wrote Jane’s Perry Farrell, Eric Avery and Stephen Perkins in a note addressing the situation. “We all hope Dave can be out playing with us; when he feels healthy and ready.”

Navarro was diagnosed with COVID-19 in December of 2021. He has been struggling with symptoms ever since. Troy Van Leeuwen stood in for Dave Navarro last fall on Jane’s Addiction co-headlining run with Smashing Pumpkins. Josh Klinghoffer filled the role for a handful of dates in between gigs as a touring member of Pearl Jam.
