Scott McMicken and THE EVER – EXPANDING announced their debut album, Shabang, due out on March 31 via ANTI- Records. McMicken and his newly formed band also shared the single “What About Now.”
Former Dr. Dog member Scott McMicken detailed his new group, THE EVER-EXPANDING, last fall and also shared the first taste from the new outfit, “Another One.” That song and the latest offering, album opener “What About Now,” are two of 13 tracks on the newly announced record, Shabang.
“I’m constantly trying at all costs to avoid feeling like a singer-songwriter,” McMicken stated in a press release for the new project. “I would like to create a welcoming place that we can share rather than trying to yank you into my inner world.”
As with “Another One,” “What About Now” arrived with a performance video captured at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, New York. Watch it below:
