26

Jack White concluded his The Supply Chain Issues Tour with shows at Third Man Records’ intimate Blue Room in Nashville on Monday, January 16 and Tuesday, January 17. White brought out his daughter, 16-year-old Scarlett White, to play bass on “The Hardest Button To Button” to start Monday’s encore.

The Supply Chain Issues Tour began with a two-night stand in Detroit last April and featured 100 shows. Jack White’s band for the trek consisted of Jack on guitar, drummer Daru Jones, bassist Dominic Davis and keyboardist Quincy McCrary. The lengthy trek came in support of Jack White’s two 2022 studio albumsFear Of The Dawn and Entering Heaven Alive. Scarlett White contributed bass to the studio version of Fear Of The Dawn’s “Into The Twilight.”

Scarlett emerged with bass in hand on Monday to perform with her father and his band on “The Hardest Button To Button” off the White Stripes’ 2003 album Elephant in Nashville. Jack White and his ex-wife Karen Elson each took to Instagram to post photos and a video clip from their daughter’s time on stage at The Blue Room. “Miss Scarlett Teresa White,” wrote Elson. “My beautiful, kind, never wants to be the center of attention with a heart of solid gold daughter. What a sweet moment with her papa bear @officialjackwhite.”
