Stream Gem & Jam Festival’s Official 2023 Playlist Curated By The String Cheese Incident’s Jason Hann

Gem & Jam festival’s 15th annual edition returns to the idyllic desert landscape of Pima County Fairgrounds in Tucson, Arizona from Friday, February 3 to Sunday, February 5. The annual event’s stacked lineup features The String Cheese Incident, LSDREAM, The Floozies, and Emancipator, among many others.

Additional Gem & Jam 2023 performers include The Motet, Dirtwire, Ott, SoDown, The Funk Hunters, Mark Farina, and Marvel Years. Acts making their Gem & Jam festival debuts include Justin Martin, Ayla Nereo, Haywyre, Aqueous, EAZYBAKED, Justin Jay, The Nth Power, Poranguí, Ravenscoon and more. In addition to playing during both of The String Cheese Incident’s headlining sets, drummer Michael Travis will also perform alongside Aaron Johnston of The David Byrne Band in their new improvisational electronic act Snakes & Stars.

The String Cheese Incident percussionist Jason Hann curated a playlist to get you ready for Gem & Jam 2023. The playlist features The String Cheese Incident alongside other artists playing at the festival this year.

Hann shared the message below regarding Gem & Jam and the special playlist he curated:

“It’s so great that The String Cheese Incident gets to head up an incredible lineup at Gem & Jam this year.
“We spent December recording our new album, and that inspired energy is continuing into 2023. Coming off the heels of our Colorado New Year’s shows, and upcoming performance at The Jamaica Incident, we’ll be primed for action heading into Gem & Jam.
“When I put together this playlist, I reflected on all of the years that I played Gem & Jam as part of EOTO — since 2009 at club Plush — and all of the artists from the festival that have gone on to define the music scene at the highest levels. So many stories and sets that have reinforced my fondness for the event.
“Gem & Jam has hit another level – we’re stoked for TSCI to headline the event, and set the stage to introduce 2023 to the artists that will help shape the new year.
