The Mars Volta confirmed 2023 tour dates in May with support from on select dates. The trek will focus on the band’s native Southwest including a hometown show in El Paso.
Mars Volta’s Omar Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler-Zavala are touring around their 2022 self-titled album, their first in a decade. The May run gets underway with an appearance at Atlanta’s Shaky Knees Festival on May 6. From there the band heads to Oklahoma City on May 9.
May 10 sees Mars Volta in Albuquerque before hopping on a bill with Red Hot Chili Peppers and Thundercat in San Diego on May 12. The group performs in Tempe, Arizona on May 13 before heading home to El Paso, Texas on May 14.
Mars Volta then has an engagement in New Orleans on May 18 before returning to Texas for a gig in Houston on May 19. The last date the band has on the books so far is a spot at Welcome To Rockville Festival in Daytona Beach, Florida on May 21.
