Emergency Surgery Forces The String Cheese Incident Bassist Keith Moseley To Miss Aspen Run

443

The String Cheese Incident bassist Keith Moseley will miss the band’s three-night run at the Belly Up in Aspen, Colorado beginning tonight. SCI noted in a social media post that Moseley underwent “emergency surgery to repair a damaged retina.”

The band’s Belly Up run — February 28 through March 2 — will move forward as planned. SCI noted that they will welcome a trio of guest bassists in Keith’s stead, with Greensky Bluegrass’ Mike Devol, The Cream Cheese Accident’s Miles Altgelt and Paul McDaniel of SCI’s keyboardist Kyle Hollingsworth’s. Read the full note from the band below:

Unfortunately, our brother on the bass, Keith Moseley, was forced late yesterday to have emergency surgery to repair a damaged retina and will be unable to play this week’s shows in Aspen. All 3 Belly Up Incidents will still happen as planned, and we’ll be joined by several other great bassists and friends including Mike Devol (Greensky Bluegrass), Paul McDaniel (Kyle Hollingsworth Band), and Miles Altgelt (The Cream Cheese Accident). Join us in sending healthy vibes out to Moose as he recovers. See you in Aspen!

Those unable to attend SCI’s Belly Up shows can watch livestreams via Volume.com. Passes are available to purchase individually ($19.99/show) or as a discounted 3-night bundle ($49.99). The livestreams begin each night at 7:30 p.m. MT/9:30 p.m. ET. Find links to purchase passes below.
