Everyone Orchestra creator and conductor Matt Butler has founded EO Worldwide, a new company devoted to developing and growing the musical community with a series of intimate location-based, cross-cultural musical experiences at vibrant cities across the globe. EO Worldwide debut event, A Musical Sojourn In Porto, will bring together 150 guests with 18 amazing musicians in Porto, Portugal from October 9 – 15, 2023 for live music performances and cultural immersion.
Members of Greensky Bluegrass, Trey Anastasio Band, ALO, Railroad Earth, Fruition, The Terrapin Family Band, Southern Avenue and more will perform at distinctive venues in Porto during the event including Polacia de Bolsa (Stock Exchange Palace), a floating riverboat traveling the Duoro River at sunset and the Hot Five Jazz Club. A Musical Sojourn In Porto boasts a lineup consisting of Everyone Orchestra, Paul Hoffman, Anders Beck, Holly Bowling, Natalie Cressman & Ian Faquini, Jennifer Hartswick, Dan Lebowitz, Nicki Bluhm, James Casey, Mike Devol, Tim Carbone, Tikyra Jackson, Todd Sheaffer, Ross James, Scott Law and the Fruition Trio (Jay Cobb Anderson, Kellen Asebroek and Mimi Naja).
The six-day adventure will be based out of Porto’s The Hotel Mouco, which boasts a high-tech venue of its own that will host multiple performances. Portuguese musician friends will be invited to partake in the performances to foster the event’s mission of maximizing the potential for joy and connectedness while creating cross-cultural musical experiences.
