Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band got back down to business on Wednesday night at Tampa, FL’s Amalie Arena with the opening night of their highly anticipated 2023 U.S. tour. The tour opener marked Springsteen’s first performance with his lauded backing band since early 2017 as well as the E Street Band’s first U.S. show since September 14th, 2016 in Foxborough, MA.
The setlist featured a mix of deep cuts and fan-favorites from throughout the band’s half-century-long catalog, including six selections from Springsteen & The E Street Band’s 2020 LP, Letter to You, and a pair of songs featured on The Boss’s 2022 soul covers album, Only the Strong Survive.
