Starting in 2015, Tedeschi Trucks Band would devote their summers to the Wheels Of Soul package tours featuring longtime friends and collaborators. This summer, the 12-piece band aimed to give themselves “more flexibility and time for [their] sets” for a six-week trek that includes just one opener each night. Ziggy Marley will serve as support for the bulk of Tedeschi Trucks Band Summer Tour 2023 with Vincent Neil Emerson filling the slot for the first five and last six dates.
The tour begins with a hometown concert at Jacksonville’s Daily’s Place on June 22. Next up are two-night stands at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta (June 23 & 24) and Wolf Trap Filene Center in Vienna, Virginia (June 27 & 28). The latter run was among TTB’s 2023 Summer Tour Preview announced last week.
Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks bring the group to Richmond, Virginia on June 29 and Saratoga Springs, New York on July 1 before an appearance at The Peach Music Festival on July 2. From there the TTB swings through New England for shows in Gilford, New Hampshire (July 3), Bangor, Maine (July 5) and Bridgeport, Connecticut (July 7 & 8). A performance in Canandaigua, New York (July 11) closes out the Northeast portion of the excursion.
The tour makes its lone Canadian stop in Toronto on July 13. It’s then off to the Midwest for concerts in Rochester Hills, Michigan (July 14); Indianapolis (July 15); Cincinnati (July 18); Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio (July 19); Milwaukee (July 20); St. Louis (July 22) and Kansas City (July 24). Next comes a gig in Lincoln, Nebraska (July 25) before the excursion concludes with a previously-announced two-night stand at the famed Colorado venue Red Rocks (July 28 & 29).
Fan club pre-sale tickets can be purchased on Tuesday, February 21 at 10 a.m. local venue time. An artist pre-sale (code: TTxSMr23) begins on Wednesday, February 22 at 10 a.m. local time.
