The Roots, Diddy and Ms. Lauryn Hill sit atop the Roots Picnic 2023 lineup. The festival hosted by The Roots and Live Nation Urban takes place at The Mann in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park June 3 – 4.
The festivities get underway on Friday, June 2 with a special comedy performance from Dave Chappelle and The Roots at the Wells Fargo Center. On Saturday, June 3 and 4, Roots Picnic moves to The Mann in Fairmount Park featuring two headlining performances: The Roots performing with Diddy and Lauryn Hill delivering a rare, complete performance of The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill to celebrate her landmark album’s 25th anniversary.
Also on the stacked Roots Picnic 2023 lineup are Lil Uzi Vert, Soulquarians Set featuring Roy Ayers & The Isley Bros, Black Thought Live Mixtape featuring Busta Rhymes & Eve, Ari Lennox, Lucky Daye, City Girls, Maverick City, Syd, Glorilla and more. The fest will also feature a podcast stage with Questlove Supreme, Charlamagne Tha God and Off The Record with DJ Akademiks among others.
