Just in time for the actual weekend, The Weeknd’s remix of his single, “Die For You,” dropped featuring pop star Ariana Grande. The original track was released in 2016 on The Weeknd’s acclaimed album, Starboy.
Grande previewed the collaboration by posting on social media a video of her recording her vocals for the remix. Grande revealed the verse was written and recorded for one of her friends after a long day on the set of the upcoming Jon M. Chu-directed feature film adaptation of Wicked.
The Weeknd’s Live At SoFi Stadium concert special premieres on HBO tomorrow, Saturday, February 25. HBO will soon premiere The Idol, a new television series written by and starring The Weeknd alongside Lily-Rose Depp that he executive produced with Reza Fahim and Sam Levinson.
