Trey Anastasio Band Plots First Tour Dates Of 2023

Trey Anastasio Band has shared its first tour dates of the new year, with the band plotting a pair of East Coast shows for July 2023. The concerts will bring the Phish guitarist and his solo outfit to Baltimore on July 6th and Asbury Park, NJ on the 7th.

The Sunday and Monday shows will entail a pair of debuts for Anastasio, making his first-ever appearances at Pier Six Pavilion in Baltimore and Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park. As JamBase points out, Phish was due to play Pier Six in 1993 but the show was canceled the week prior “reportedly due to insufficient ticket sales,” per Phish.net. Anastasio’s long-awaited debut was then slated to arrive in 2020 but was thwarted by the pandemic along with a pair of shows at Stone Pony Summer Stage. A native of Princeton, NJ, the guitarist grew up roughly 40 miles from the Jersey Shore musical hotspot.
