Amanda Shires was musical guest on Tuesday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The Valentine’s Day performance featured the singer-songwriter joined by her husband, guitarist Jason Isbell, for a simmering take on “Hawk For The Dove.”
Shires included “Hawk For The Dove” on her 2022 album, Take It Like A Man. Last night’s appearance on The Tonight Show saw Shires joined by Take It Like A Man producer Lawrence Rothman on guitar. Shires’ rhythm section was her Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit bandmates, drummer Chad Gamble and bassist Jimbo Hart. Also onstage at 30 Rock with Shires were vocalist Keyontia “Ki Ki” Hawkins and keyboardist Ray Angry (who was filling in for Peter Levin).
