Watch Margo Price & The Deslondes Give Paul McCartney’s ‘Let Me Roll It’ A Spin

Margo Price‘s ‘Til The Wheels Fall Off Tour pulled into Atlanta last night for a concert at Variety Playhouse. Price and her longtime backing band The Pricetags were joined by opening act The Deslondes and Margo’s best friend Kate Cunningham for a debut cover of Paul McCartney & Wings’ “Let Me Roll It.”

“Let Me Roll It” was written by Paul McCartney and his wife, Linda McCartney. A studio version was featured on Paul McCartney & Wings’ iconic 1973 album, Band On The Run. The song has been a staple of Macca’s live repertoire ever since.

Margo Price went heavy on material from her recently released album, Strays, last night as part of her second show of 2023 including “Radio,” “Time Machine” and “Light Me Up.” The singer-songwriter brought out The Deslondes towards the end of the night after she sat-in with the support act for “Ways & Means” during their set.

“We’re gonna do a Wings song we’ve never done before,” Price told the crowd before explaining she met The Deslondes 10 years prior at Nashville’s The 5 Spot and hit it off with the band immediately. Margo Price, The Pricetags and The Deslondes then crushed “Let Me Roll It” with such authority it was hard to realize it was their first time performing the song together publicly. Kate Cunningham provided backing vocals on the Macca cover.
