Mac DeMarco joined Snail Mail (Lindsey Jordan) for a cover of Talking Heads’ “This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)” Monday night in Baltimore. The concert was part of Snail Mail’s five-show Valentine’s Fest at Ottobar.
Snail Mail’s Valentine’s Fest featured several other acts performing on each night of the run with Soccer Mommy, Mannequin Pussy, Jessica Lea Mayfield and Waxahatchee among the other participants. DeMarco came out during Snail Mail’s encore on night four of the run for a performance of their collaborative single, “A Cuckhold’s Refrain — Peppermint Patty.” The song was released in September 2022 and featured the late Leslie Jordan on the track.
DeMarco stuck around for the show-closing cover of “This Must Be The Place,” which saw additional guests on stage including members of Truth Cult and Title Fight. Watch Snail Mail and Mac DeMarco tackle the Talking Heads on Monday night in Baltimore below:
