Bruce Springsteen Postpones More Tour Dates Due To Illness

32

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s concert at MVP Arena in Albany, New York on Tuesday, March 14 is the third and latest of the group’s tour dates postponed “due to illness.” The Boss previously postponed a show in Columbus slated for Thursday, March 9 and a concert in Uncasville, Connecticut that was supposed to take place last night (Sunday, March 12).

No further explanation beyond “due to illness” was given from the Springsteen camp as part of the official announcements. “No need to be anxious or afraid. Nothing serious. Just a temporary situation. We will all be back in full force very soon,” wrote E Street Band guitarist Stevie Van Zandt on Twitter as pointed out by Pitchfork. Van Zandt was among a number of E Street Band members who missed time on the tour after testing positive for COVID.

New dates are in the works for all three postponed concerts. Fans are urged to hold on to their tickets for use on the new dates.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s 2023 World Tour marks the legendary outfit’s first trek since 2017. The next date currently on the books for The Boss and his band comes on Thursday, March 16 in Philadelphia.
