Jack Johnson & Nightmares On Wax Go ‘Better Together’ On New Dub Remix

44

Jack Johnson released a reimagination of his classic song “Better Together” from Nightmares on Wax. The track appears on In Between Dub, a remix album featuring 11 new versions of Johnson’s songs due out via Brushfire/Republic Records on June 2.

Subatomic Sound System, Dennis Bovell, Scientist, Mad Professor, Yaadcore, Monk and the late Lee “Scratch” Perry also reinterpreted Jack Johnson songs for In Between Dub. Lee “Scratch” Perry’s take on “Traffic In The Sky” was released last month. A video for the track followed.

Jack Johnson originally issued “Better Together” as the opening track on his 2005 album, In Between Dreams. The song hit the charts both in the U.S. and Canada upon its release. English DJ Nightmares On Wax (George Evelyn) added a fresh spin to “Better Together” heavy on dub elements.
