Josh Ritter Shares Gorgeous ‘Honey I Do’ Single From Album Dedicated To Memory Of His Mother

61

Josh Ritter released a new single, “Honey I Do.” The track is set to land on Ritter’s forthcoming album, Spectral Lines, due out on April 28 via Thirty Tigers and dedicated to the memory of his mother.

Produced by Ritter’s longtime collaborator Sam Kassirer (Lake Street Dive, Langhorne Slim), Spectral Lines sees the singer-songwriter “expanding beyond the bounds of his previous work to create a record both atmospheric and profound,” as per a press release. “Dedicated to the memory of his mother, Ritter searches for commonality across these ten seamless tracks by exploring life’s most universal ideas—love, devotion and what it means to be connected, to both each other and to ourselves.”

So far, Ritter has previewed Spectral Lines with “Horse No Rider,” “Sawgrass” and “For Your Soul.” Josh now follows with “Honey I Do,” which he detailed.

“This is less a confession than a signal sent outwards,” he noted. “It’s so easy to feel insignificant and down and unlovable; so easy to believe that no one will ever love us again. I’ve felt that way before, and it’s important enough to me to share it. Maybe someone else has, too. There! We’re not alone anymore.”
