Two of Nashville’s most exciting singer-songwriters, Margo Price and Sierra Ferrell, have teamed up on a new rendition of Price’s “Change of Heart”, off her album Strays from earlier this year.
“Change of Heart” spent an impressive 14 consecutive weeks at #1 on the Americana singles chart upon its release back in September 2022, before the release of Strays in January. The new version featuring Sierra Ferrel trades the rock and roll psychedelia of the original for a gentler, folky feel focused around the duo’s enchanting vocals with acoustic guitar and fiddle.
“Sierra is one of my favorite new voices in music and I loved getting to work with her on this acoustic version of the song,” Price said. “I love to lift up other women in the genre when I see somebody putting out great art. In an industry that tries to drive us apart, it’s freeing to break down those barriers and say, ‘there is room for everyone.’ Thanks also to the cowriter of the song, my husband, Jeremy Ivey on acoustic guitar and the talented Billy Contreras on the fiddle.”

Along with the single, Price announced the addition of new tour dates to her ‘Til The Wheels Fall Off Tour. Later this week, she will head to Austin, TX to discuss Strays and her recent memoir, Maybe We’ll Make It, during a keynote conversation at SXSW before taping an episode for Season 49 of Austin City Limits and performing at Willie Nelson‘s Luck Reunion.
