Goldenvoice launched a website for Power Trip, a festival expected to take place at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California October 6 – 8. Legendary metal acts AC/DC, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne and Tool each posted teaser videos on social media teasing they will perform at the new event to be held at the home of Coachella.
Power Trip follows Goldenvoice’s 2016 event Desert Trip at the location, which featured the likes of Neil Young, Roger Waters, Paul McCartney and The Who. Full details will be announced tomorrow (Thursday, March 30) as per a graphic on the Power Trip website.
AC/DC last performed in 2016 with Axl Rose filling in for frontman Brian Johnson. The potential performance from Ozzy would be his first since announcing his retirement from touring.
