Scott McMicken and THE EVER-EXPANDING shared a new song, “Reconcile.” The track is the final advance single from the former Dr. Dog member and band’s upcoming album, Shabang, due out on March 31 via ANTI- Records.
Scott McMicken heralded his new project in November 2022 with the single “Another One.” The official album announcement followed in January 2023 along with the track “What About Now.” McMicken and company released an additional preview, “Mountain Lion,” ahead of today’s final advance single, “Reconcile.”
“‘Reconcile’ is a song to keep me close to the open spirit of letting go,” Scott said. “And a way to put some ass into it like you mean it!,” he enthusiastically added, as per a press release.

Scott McMicken and THE EVER-EXPANDING have a trio of tour dates on the books beginning on April 20 in Brooklyn. Shows in Washington D.C. and Philadelphia follow. Tickets are on sale now.
