Sound On Sound festival has announced the artist lineup for its return to Seaside Park in Bridgeport, CT on Saturday, September 30th and Sunday, October 1st, 2023.
The second annual Sound On Sound will feature performances by Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Mayer, Alanis Morissette, Trey Anastasio Band, Hozier, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Dispatch, Lord Huron, and Mt. Joy.
Other performers set to appear at the festival include Steel Pulse, Joy Oladokun, Margo Price, Sammy Rae & The Friends, Gin Blossoms, Cautious Clay, Deep Banana Blackout, Briscoe, Calder Allen, SNACKTIME, Kieran Rhodes, and Julai and the Serotones.
Following a slew of logistical hiccups at the festival’s inaugural year, organizers Founders Entertainment and Live Nation Entertainment have detailed a number of updates to the event grounds and experience. Upgrades to the venue include more space (doubling the festival footprint), a redesigned and relocated festival site with delineated walkways for ease of movement within the grounds, three times as many food and beverage vendors as last year, upgraded restroom facilities (flushable restrooms throughout the entire festival site), lighting and directional signage enhancements across the venue and parking lot areas, and increased mobile connectivity and coverage through the placement of additional portable cell towers. In addition, Sound On Sound 2023 will present attendees with a new stage and updated viewing experience as well. All performances will take place on a single turntable stage outfitted with a state-of-the-art audio and visual system. The new setup will allow for back-to-back performances with no overlapping sets, giving festival fans the opportunity to see every single performance without having to move between stages.
