Marc Brownstein‘s Star Kitchen ensemble will hit the road for a brief spring tour this April. The five-show run through the Northeast features special guests on select shows with trumpeter/vocalist Jennifer Hartswick (Trey Anastasio Band) aboard for the first two concerts.
Star Kitchen — consisting of The Disco Biscuits‘ Marc Brownstein on bass joined by keyboardist Rob Marscher, guitarist Danny Mayer and drummer Marlon Lewis — starts the run with a concert featuring special guest Jennifer Hartswick in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on April 19. Then, on April 20, Hartswick, keyboardist Aron Magner (the Disco Biscuits) and saxophonist Hiruy Tirfe (The Roots, H.E.R, Solange Knowles) will serve as special guests for a show at Ardmore Music Hall just outside Star Kitchen’s hometown of Philadelphia.
Turntablist Doey Joey will support the four-piece at Hartford’s Infinity Hall on April 21. Next, Star Kitchen will play Brooklyn Bowl’s flagship location in New York City on April 22 with a special guest to be announced. The run concludes at the intimate and legendary The 8X10 in Baltimore on April 23.
Tickets for all five shows go on sale this Friday, March 3 at 12 p.m. ET.
