Telluride Bluegrass Festival will celebrate 50 years of music in the mountains with a lineup topped by Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, The String Cheese Incident, and the original Béla Fleck and The Flecktones. The Planet Bluegrass-produced festival will return to Telluride Town Park in Colorado June 15th–18th, 2023.
The golden anniversary lineup will bring back many fan-favorite performers from throughout the festival’s history including Sam Bush Band, Emmylou Harris who will perform a special collaborative set with Watchhouse, esteemed bluegrass elder statesman Del McCoury and his backing band, former Prairie Home Companion host Chris Thile who will pull triple duty with Punch Brothers, Nickel Creek, and a solo set, plus many more. The 2023 lineup also features jamgrass favorites Greensky Bluegrass, The Infamous Stringdusters, and Yonder Mountain String Band along with Old & In The Way vet Peter Rowan and his band as well as rising star Sierra Ferrell.

“Fifty years is an incredible accomplishment in the music industry; one you don’t see often. We are thrilled to have made it to this milestone,” says Grace Barrett, Director of Communication and Partnerships for Planet Bluegrass. “There is such plentiful history in Telluride, from the rich age of mining to the plethora of exceptional musicians that have serenaded the valley floor over the years, and we couldn’t have made it here without the devotion of each and every one of our Festivarians. Here’s to the next 50!”
Tickets for the 2023 Telluride Bluegrass Festival are already sold out. Keep a watchful eye out for the re-release of any refunded tickets here in the coming weeks. Enterprising musicians can also enter the Troubadour Contest for a chance at a four-day pass to the festival and the opportunity to compete in a live performance contest for cash and prizes. Telluride Bluegrass Festival also moderates an online forum, festivarian.com, that includes a ticket exchange/swap.
