Violent Femmes announced 2023 Spring Tour dates honoring the 40th anniversary of their 1983 self-titled debut album. The band will perform the record in its entirety on the May 2023 run.
Violent Femmes get the tour underway — with support from Jesse Ahern for most of the trek — on May 6 in Ventura, California. Concerts in Las Angeles and San Diego follow with the latter featuring a collaboration with the San Diego Symphony. The band caps off the California stint with a two-night stand at Pappy & Harriets in Pioneertown.
A stop in Santa Fe on May 14 then proceeds a three-night swing through Texas with shows in Dallas, Houston and Austin. Violent Femmes then head to Tulsa, Oklahoma before wrapping up the run in Denver on May 21.
