Watch Greensky Bluegrass’ Paul Hoffman Deliver Intimate Session For Fort Collins Radio Station KRFC

Greensky Bluegrass mandolinist/vocalist Paul Hoffman played a phoffman set for Fort Collins, Colorado-based radio station KRFC’s LIVE@LUNCH series that aired on Wednesday afternoon. phoffman swapped his usual mandolin for a guitar during an hour-long session featuring stripped-down renditions of eight GSBG cuts as well as discussions with host Sean Lamborne.

The appearance was recorded before phoffman’s show on February 18 at Fort Collins venue Washington’s. Paul began the session by performing two songs from the latest Greensky album, 2022’s Stress Dreams, “Worry For You” and “Screams.” Hoffman spoke about the making of the LP, working with co-producers Dominic Davis and Glenn Brown as well as his appreciation for the music of Harry Styles and Daniel Donato. Greensky went on to cover Harry Styles’ “As It Was” this past Saturday at the Uptown Theatre in Kansas City.

Paul continued the musical portion of the session with performances of “What You Need” off 2019’s All For Money and GSBG classic “I’d Probably Kill You.” Lamborne then dug into “Who is Paul Hoffman” by asking phoffman about his early days as a musician. Hoffman also discussed the genesis of Greensky Bluegrass, moving from Michigan to Colorado, the rise of Billy Strings and more. Next, phoffman picked up his guitar for Stress Dreams standout “Grow Together” and “Past My Prime” off 2016’s Shouted, Written Down & Quoted. Hoffman eventually closed the set with Stress Dreams outtake “Get Out” and the beloved “In Control” from 2014’s If Sorrows Swim.
