50 Shows, 50 States, 49 Days: Devon Allman & Donavon Frankenreiter Plot ‘See It All Tour’ [Video]

Devon Allman and Donavon Frankenreiter will attempt to set a Guinness World Record on their See It All Tour. The joint trek will see the rock n’ roll troubadours perform 50 concerts in 50 states in 49 days, which would break Adam Brodsky‘s 2003 record-setting tour of 50 states in 50 days.

“I’ve had this idea in my back pocket for the better part of a decade,” Allman said. “50 shows in the 50 United States in 50 days. I think growing up reading the World Record books, it’s just always been a fantasy to go after a world record. This undertaking is going to be really difficult, but very rewarding and I really found the perfect co-conspirator in Donavon Frankenreiter. We have been jamming together for years now and are quite simpatico…he is the perfect Evel to my Knievel.”

Each night will see Devon and Donavon team up for a collaborative set with a four-piece backing band. Joining the duo for support on the conceivably record-setting trek is a rotating cast of support including Matt Andersen, JD Simo, Matt Costa, Davy Knowles, Mishka, Jackson Stokes, and Goodnight Texas. The See It All Tour begins on August 5th with two concerts, first in Annapolis, MD followed later in the day by a gig in Bethlehem, PA. Fast forward to September 22nd, and the tour will wrap with a special show at a venue to be announced in Los Angeles, with celebrations if they succeed in breaking the record.

“There’s no better way to see it all but by playing all 50 states in under 50 days and I couldn’t think of a better friend to do something this crazy with,” Frankenreiter said. “I first met Devon on the Allman Family Revival Tour and we always talked about doing something together. One morning, Devon called me and said he had this crazy idea about breaking a world record. As soon as he said 50 shows in 50 states under 50 days I said ‘Yes, let’s do this.’ And now, a year later, we are ready to see it all…or at least attempt to see it all!”

Pre-sale tickets for the Devon Allman & Donavon Frankenreiter See It All Tour are available starting today, April 12th, and tomorrow, April 13th, beginning at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets for all 50 concerts go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m. local time. See below for a full list of tour dates.

Along with the tour announcement, Devon and Donavon released a new single, “See It All”. With the opening line “Never been to Burning Man never been to Witchita / Just come and take my hand we’re gonna see it all,” the dancy track embodies the wandering spirit of these musical journeymen.
