The already outstanding all-star lineup for this weekend’s Long Story Short: Willie Nelson 90 concerts at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles has been expanded in a big way. New additions including Dave Matthews, Emmylou Harris and Stephen Stills will join Willie Nelson at the shows celebrating his 90th birthday on Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30.
Booker T. Jones, Buddy Cannon, Daniel Lanois, Dwight Yoakam, Jamey Johnson, Gary Clark Jr., George Strait, Jack Johnson, Kris Kristofferson, Lily Meola, Rodney Crowell, Shooter Jennings and Waylon Payne have also been added to the bill for the star-studded music events.
The artists confirmed today join previously announced Willie Nelson 90 performers Willie Nelson, Allison Russell, Beck, Billy Strings, Bobby Weir, Charley Crockett, Chris Stapleton, Edie Brickell, Leon Bridges, Lukas Nelson, Lyle Lovett, Margo Price, Miranda Lambert, Nathaniel Rateliff, Neil Young, Norah Jones, Orville Peck, Particle Kid, Rosanne Cash, Sheryl Crow, Snoop Dogg, Sturgill Simpson, The Avett Brothers, The Chicks, The Lumineers, Tom Jones, Tyler Childers, Warren Haynes and Ziggy Marley.
“Each night will be a unique experience, featuring once-in-a-lifetime performances and unforgettable collaborations to be revealed at the show,” as per a press release. Attendees are advised to arrive early with the four-hour shows expected to start at ticket time.
Willie Nelson will celebrate his 90th birthday on Saturday, April 29. “I can’t think of a better way to spend my 90th birthday than being surrounded by family, friends, and of course the fans who made this all possible,” noted Willie Nelson. “It’s an honor to perform with such an incredible group of artists at such an iconic venue.”
