The Ramble Festival will make its return to Darlington, MD in October 2023 with a lineup topped by The Del McCoury Band, TAUK Moore featuring Robert Randolph, Jason Hann (The String Cheese Incident), and The Funky Dawgz horns, and The Motet. The second-year festival will take place at Camp Redwood from October 6th–8th.
Other top acts at the sophomore edition of The Ramble Festival include The Grateful Ball featuring The Travelin’ McCourys, Magic Beans, Neighbor, and Perpetual Groove. Also appearing on the 2023 lineup are Bella’s Bartok, Caleb Stine, The Dirty Grass Players, Dogs in a Pile, The Hillbenders who will perform a special “Whograss” set, Kendall Street Company, Red Clay Revival, Shadowgrass, Sneezy, The Sweet Lillies, Yam Yam, and many more. Kanika Moore will serve as artist-at-large alongside emerging artist-at-large Isaac Hadden.
Located in Harford County, MD, Camp Ramblewood sits on over 200 acres of pristine land. A functioning multi-purpose summer camp location, the venue offers on-site cabins with seven, eight, ten, eleven, or thirteen beds. The primitive cabins provide electricity, semi-private bathrooms, storage space, and shelter from any inclement weather.
The Ramble Festival debuted in 2022 with Leftover Salmon, Keller Williams‘ Grateful Grass featuring The Hillbenders, and The Travelin’ McCourys. Beyond the lineup, the inaugural gathering presented a unique offering of musical programming. Late-night sets took place in a Levon Helm-style barn, where steps away a roaring campfire encouraged communal jams featuring performing artists and fans alike.
The festival also hired a battalion of buskers who perform all weekend long throughout the campgrounds to ensure there is always music in the air. On Sunday, October 8th, 2023, The Ramble Festival will host the Busk to the Future contest, where artists will compete for a spot on the 2024 lineup.
