Singer-songwriters Devon Allman and Donavon Frankenreiter plan to See It All this summer when they hit the road for an ambitious U.S. tour of the same name. The pair will attempt to break the Official World Record for the fastest time to perform a show in all 50 states, which currently sits at 50 days. News of the 49-day, 50-show See It All American Tour was accompanied by the collaborative single, fittingly named “See It All.”
Each stop will include a collaborative set from the pair backed by a four-piece band. Matt Andersen, JD Simo, Matt Costa, Davy Knowles, Mishka, Jackson Stokes and Goodnight Texas will take turns serving as support.
Devon Allman and Donavon Frankenreiter will begin the trek on August 5 with two shows in one day. Up first is a matinee performance in Annapolis, Maryland and then they’ll bring the run to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Allman and Frankenreiter will focus on the Northeast next before making their way down the East Coast. The See It All American Tour will then hit Southeast, Midwest, Texas and Mountain states ahead of a trip to Alaska on September 14.
The tour continues in Portland, Oregon on September 15. Shows in Idaho, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada come next. Devon Allman and Donavon Frankenreiter will visit Honolulu on September 21 before wrapping the extensive excursion in Los Angeles on September 22 at a venue to be announced.
“I’ve had this idea in my back pocket for the better part of a decade,” explained Allman. “50 shows in the 50 United States in 50 days. I think growing up reading the World Record books, it’s just always been a fantasy to go after a world record. This undertaking is going to be really difficult, but very rewarding and I really found the perfect co-conspirator in Donavon Frankenreiter. We have been jamming together for years now and are quite simpatico…he is the perfect Evel to my Knievel.”
“There’s no better way to see it all but by playing all 50 states in under 50 days and I couldn’t think of a better friend to do something this crazy with,” added Frankenreiter. “I first met Devon on the Allman Family Revival Tour and we always talked about doing something together. One morning, Devon called me and said he had this crazy idea about breaking a world record. As soon as he said 50 shows in 50 states under 50 days I said ‘Yes, let’s do this.’ And now, a year later, we are ready to see it all…or at least attempt to see it all!”
