Explosions In The Sky Announce The End Tour

Explosions in the Sky will embark on The End Tour of the United States and Europe this fall. The trek marks the Austin, Texas-based post-rock band’s first shows in over three years and their first time touring America since 2019.

Few details have been shared by the quartet besides the dates and ticketing information. It’s currently unclear if “The End” refers to the name of a new song/album, if Explosions In The Sky plan to breakup after the tour or a different option. The group hasn’t released a studio album since The Wilderness arrived in 2016.

Explosions In The Sky will prepare for to play Seattle’s Day In Day Out festival August 12 – 13 with a warmup show in Portland, Oregon on August 11. The tour then begins in earnest with a concert in Houston on September 15. Additional September shows follow in Dallas, Nashville, Atlanta, St. Louis, Omaha, Minneapolis, Chicago, Royal Oak (Michigan), Cleveland, Philadelphia and New Haven (Connecticut). The quartet ends the U.S. leg with shows in Boston on October 1, Washington D.C. on October 3 and Brooklyn on October 5.

A gig in Dublin, Ireland on November 6 kicks off the European portion of The End Tour. It’s then off to England for stops in Manchester on November 7 and London on November 8. Explosions In The Sky go on to bring the excursion to Brussels, Antwerp, Utrecht (The Netherlands), Berlin, Koln, Paris, Lyon and Barcelona before concluding the tour in Madrid on November 20.

Pre-sale tickets are currently available using THEENDTOUR as the code. Explosions In The Sky tickets then go on sale to the general public this Friday, April 21 at 10 a.m. local time.
