Great South Bay Details 2023 Lineup: Phil Lesh & Friends, Hot Tuna, Gov’t Mule, More

Great South Bay Music Festival will return to Patchogue, NY on Long Island July 20th–23rd, 2023 with a varied lineup featuring top jam, reggae, and classic rock acts. The four stylistically diverse days of GSB 2023 will feature headliners Hot TunaDirty HeadsPhil Lesh & Friends, and Gov’t Mule Dark Side of the Mule at Shorefront Park.

Festival organizers noted heavy demand for more classic rock, and they delivered with a day one lineup helmed by Hot Tuna alongside Traffic‘s Dave MasonThe Fabulous Thunderbirds, and Kenny Kearney Band. On Friday, reggae takes over with headliners Dirty Heads alongside ska stalwarts Goldfinger, Sublime tribute Badfish, Ballyhoo!, Oogee Wawa, and Cliff Diver.

Jam Saturday will bring in exalted elder statesman and Grateful Dead co-founder Phil Lesh & Friends. Adding some funk to the mix is Eric Krasno Trio alongside rising Boston outfit Neighbor, Baked Shrimp, and local singer-songwriter Cassandra House. Finally, Great South Bay Music Festival wraps on Sunday with another dose of classic rock. Warren Haynes‘ Gov’t Mule will stage a lavish recreation of Pink Floyd‘s groundbreaking The Dark Side of the Moon in honor of the album’s 50th anniversary, complete with “over-the-top” visual effects and a laser light show.

Also performing on Sunday are classic rock heirs Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening and Duane Betts & Palmetto Motel. Budding guitarist Brandon “Taz” Niederuaer will return to the festival where he first performed at age 12 in addition to Long Island natives TAUK.

Along with a loaded slate of headliners and top acts, Great South Bay will continue to serve as a platform for emerging artists. Up-and-coming acts set to perform at this year’s festival include Cassandra House, Jules, Jack & Friends, Dudley Music, Robinson Treacher, MJT, Circus Mind, Miles to Dayton, Foster Europe Band, Baked Shrimp, and more. In total, GSB will bring 60 acts across its four stages in celebration of the festival’s 15th anniversary.
