Jazz Is Phsh will bring their jazz-focused Phish tribute to nine cities in the Midwest and Northeast this spring. The group’s “Contact” tour spans May 31 – June 11.

Under the direction of co-founder and drummer Adam Chase, Jazz Is Phsh blends songs from the Phish repertoire with compositions of jazz icons including Miles Davis, Jaco Pastorius and Herbie Hancock as well as contemporary artists like Robert Glasper and Nate Smith. For instance, “You Enjoy My Bounce” weaves together “You Enjoy Myself” with Smith’s “Bounce.”

Burlington, Vermont club Nectar’s, where Phish spent many nights in the ’80s developing their sound, will host Jazz Is Phsh on June 8.
