Metallica Continues ‘Kimmel’ Residency With ‘Holier Than Thou’ Performance

Metallica’s Jimmy Kimmel Live residency continued on Tuesday. The metal lords performed “Holier Than Thou” off their landmark 1991 self-titled LP, also known as “The Black Album.”

Metallica’s Jimmy Kimmel residency began on Monday and continues through Thursday. The band is celebrating the release of their 12th studio album, 72 Seasons, which arrives this Friday, April 14. The late night stint began on Monday with 72 Seasons’ “Lux Æterna.” The band took it back to 1991 with “The Black Album” cut for the second aired performance of the residency.
