On Thursday, April 27th, the Harold Robinson Foundation will host its annual Peace, Love & Soul benefit show at The Sun Rose in West Hollywood, CA.
This year’s Peace, Love & Soul benefit show will feature a collaborative performance led by drummer Robert “Sput” Searight and keyboardist Dominique Xavier, known for their work together in both Ghost-Note and Toto. The show will feature a mix of funk and soul classics as performed by Sput, Xavier, and a slew of their talented friends including T.Nava (Free Nationals), Terrace Martin (Herbie Hancock, Kendrick Lamar), Shira Elias (Cool Cool Cool), Charlie Bereal, Jackie Gouche, Gawd, Jarius Mozee, and more.
Founded in 2009 by Jeff and Joyce Hyser Robinson, the main objective of Harold Robinson Foundation (HRF) is to improve young lives by creating access to personal development opportunities, resources, and supportive adult relationships that result in a positive impact in South Los Angeles’ most marginalized communities. The organization believes that every student deserves to be seen, heard, and to know their inherent worth and potential. Through creative retreat programs at a recreational summer camp in the Angeles National Forest along with camp programs in the community (Camp Ubuntu), HRF offers a safe, nurturing, and enriching experience at no cost to participants, using these experiences to foster positive discourse, provide tools for reflection, and help young men and women set goals to rewrite the future of their schools and communities.
